The Sport Committee was established for stakeholders of professional sport in Germany and those who are interested in sport arbitration. Members include sport federations, athletes' representatives, the NADA, the DOSB, the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community, the Federal Ministry of Justice, academics, sponsors, specialist lawyers, etc.
The Sport Committee advises the German Court of Arbitration for Sport in matters such as the reform of the DIS Sport Arbitration Rules, increasing transparency and integrity of sport arbitration proceedings, introduction of financial aid for athletes, etc.
The Sport Committee meets if deemed necessary. The meetings are convened by the German Court of Arbitration for Sport.
